You hope to become the Maharaja's appointed merchant by being richer than your competitor at the end of each week. You do this by harvesting and bartering goods at the market, then selling them to raise rupees. If you manage to make an extraordinary sale, you will also receive a bonus. As for camels, they are mainly used for bartering when you want to take several goods from the market.

At the end of each round, the richest merchant wins a Maharaja's Medal. The first merchant to obtain 2 medals wins the game.
